The Story: I purchased it from a consignment shop, where it sat lonely and unloved. I knew it wanted to be special. I saw a beautiful photo of a local sunset here in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. I decided this is what the desk needed. I had never painted a sunset before, and I wanted to capture the intensity of the colors. The rest of the desk is painted the colors of the water as the sunlight is fading. She is a beautiful piece waiting for the right person.
