Van Gogh’s Dresser (the yellow, 2 drawer dresser). This is a beautiful piece that can be used as a side table, a dresser, or a small entryway table. Solid wood, possibly mahogany, Bassett furniture company. Painted with all-natural DIY Paint Co. clay paint and sealed with clear wax. The story: behind the dresser. I walked by this piece at a used furniture store thinking it was a pot belly stove. It was painted a flat black and gray. The handles appeared to be missing. The owners of the store said there was a close out and asked me if I would buy this piece. I said sure. I wanted something different, and I kept thinking of marigolds, of fields of orange and yellow wildflowers, and the piece was born. I found the handles underneath the bottom drawer and painted those too. I think Van Gogh would approve.
